South Kildare Photography Club

Wow its been quite a while since I last posted here, no excuses shall be entered! So here we go. Well I joined the South Kildare Photography Club about seven weeks ago, there a friendly bunch of people with weekly meetings every week held up in Newbridge Co.Kildare. With something new at every meeting I hope that I am learning each week.

Last month they held a Mini Panel Competition, a yearly event which is held before the IPF distinctions in November. What we had to do was spray mount six original images on a mouting board showing a sample of our work, sound easy yeah. Well the outside images were suppossed to draw the veiwers eye to the centre of the display. No theme was required, so i decided to give it a go.

You may recognise the images in my panel from a previous post, i taught that they worked well togather on the panel and sure coming second place in the beginners catagory was’nt too bad for a first attempt. Apparently the Judge suggested that both first and second place winners in this category be promoted to intermediate level. Well thats what ya get for giving something a go, now I really have to go and up my game.

Well as always your comments are always welcome and ill be back real soon with some new posts
