Grand Opening – Monasterevin Venice of Ireland Festival

So with a welcome change in the weather, festival proceedings continued with the official opening and the cutting of the ribbon ceremony by Michael ‘Spike’ Nolan, Mayor of Kildare. Unfortunately the planned Pony games which were due to take place in Byron’s field had to be canceled due to poor ground conditions. So with the second day coming to a close and plenty of events still to happen lets cross our fingers for a spell of continued good weather. One or two of these images might even make it into the local newspapers!!!
