Portrait Shoot: Orla

Orla (1)

Our second model of the day was the stunning Orla. This time after experiencing difficulty with poor lighting conditions and the fact that the models were suffering from the cold, we decided to try something indoors. So the horse museum seemed like a good choice. I must say that the light was far better indoors and I was much happier with the shots on this occasion, even our model seemed to be happier that we were not out in the freezing cold. The only person that did not seem impressed was the cleaning lady whom was left waiting to clean the floors, ๐Ÿ™‚ Soย here are a few samples from the shoot with Orla. You can check out the entire set over on myย Facebook Pageย or onย Flickr.

You did justice to the model.

Great pics, Ed! You said this took you out of your comfort zone, but doesn’t look like it to me! Perhaps you’ve found a new confidence? Yes, Orla is beautiful, she’d probably look stunning if you stuck her in a bin bag and shoved her up against a plain wall, lol! The real skill I think is to take someone or something ordinary, and make them look extraordinary! One thing I love about your photography is how you manage to capture the drama, mood, atmospherics of a building, and if you can transfer this to your portrait photography you will have something truly special and unique!

Lovely images of a lovely lady. “Stunning” is definitely the right adjective for Orla.

Great picture taking on your part, thanks for sharing and keep up the good work. ๐Ÿ™‚

Great pictures, again. Great models, but I can see in your other work, that your passion is indeed the outdoors and their ancient history. Looking forward to next work, thanks Pina

Stunning!!! I think its great for any artist to step out of their comfort zone from time to time. It brings a richness and diversity to the work that sits so closely to our hearts. I for one am looking forward to seeing what comes from your next exploration ๐Ÿ™‚

Yes, the conditions for the second model (indoors / not freezing ๐Ÿ™‚ ) allowed for you talent to shine through!

Orla is one long necked beauty. Wow!
