Help Required

So this is an emergency post. Last week I posted about a charity calender competition for Epilepsy Ireland which I am submitting images for. The maximum allowed is 3 images per entry and I am having serious issues choosing. After narrowing down some of my favourite shots taken this year, I am still left with thirteen images to choose from. So here is what I was thinking of, and I hope that you will help me. Below you will find all thirteen images and I would really appreciate if you could vote for your favourite image or images, up to a maximum of three. The top three voted images will be submitted for the competition, and we shall wait and see what happens. So thank you in advance for your help, I really appreciated it.

  4. ae.i says:

It got to be the Viking Warrior! Such a great photo! Just saying…the other 2 I voted for are anyway in the top choice of your poll 😉

  5. Red Hen says:

Do the images for the competition have to relate to some particular month? I voted with that in mind, anyway.

  6. Sophie L. says:

I vote for 11 & 12. But I had vote for the 2nd one to with less vignetage (I don’t know if this is the work in english but it the white circle around the picture).
    Good luck Ed !!!!

  7. seaangel4444 says:

  8. Von Simeon says:

  12. colonialist says:

Interesting – Ballinafagh was my only popular choice.

  13. That was difficult, you make so great photos Ed.

  14. Mjollnir says:

    4, 12 and 13 in that order 🙂

  15. Wayne says:

I really like 4 and 13 the best—but all great images.

  16. Urvashi Roe says:

  18. Rob Tobin says:

Ed, I originally followed your Blog after seeing the warrior overlooking the battle scene. but then I’m no photo editor – I just liked the story behind the photo. #12 is the pick for me- among a bunch of great shots

  19. Ryan says:

    1, 4 and 13 were my favorites

  20. sunburntback says:

1, 2 and 12 for me! LIke the dramatic skies in all, however 🙂

  21. esse636 says:

10, 7 and 2 for me. it is so interesting how we all ‘view’ these photos, what grabs us etc. good luck!

  22. jamoroki says:

I hope you don’t get too confused Ed. But I’ll be very upset if you don’t choose 1, 12 and 13!!

  23. SandyW says:

Such a difficult choice, I have chosen 3, 2 and 13 – To me they are all winners!

    Best’est.

  24. suej says:

    Ok, Ed I’m going for 2, 3 and 5

  25. Bruce Ruston says:

I chose 2, 9 and 10. My gut said some of the others could be lighter so better separate the subject and the background. But saying that I mostly do macro’s so not sure if I am that qualified.

  26. 4, 2, 12 are my three for the poll

  27. kathygiddins says:

I love no.5 it’s really simple but you were lucky to capture such perfect footprints

    • Thanks Kathy, They have been there for a couple of hundred years. Said to be the prints of Donnelly himself and have survived by people walking in them all the time. Im just waiting for a good snow, it should make for an interesting shot 🙂

  28. Karen says:

All of these 13 shots are awesome. I voted for 4, 12, 2. My fourth choice would have been number 13.

  29. 3, 4, and 12 are my favorites, best of luck!

  30. gtonthenet says:

    Difficult choice, but I thought 9, 12, and 13.

  31. Have voted too, Ed. My choice would be 5, 12 and 13. You have created a wealth of beauty.

  32. Ali Isaac says:

I voted for 12, 4 and 3, but they’re all amazing! Good luck… hope we are helping and not hindering with our choices, lol!

  33. number 5, 8, 9 for me! Cheers

  34. Manal says:

9 and 12 are my favourites 🙂 best of luck

  35. Evelyn says:

After I voted I saw that two of my choices were in the top two although I originally had checked Ballinafagh first and then replaced it with the Black Castle. It was difficult choosing just three. I hope this helps Ed ! Great work !
    The Castle Lady

  36. Ever since I was little I have had a fascination with castle architecture, there is something about them that gives off an aura of beauty and power. I suppose voting for 3, 4 and 12 with that information would seem fairly obvious, however I did find it a somewhat difficult choice as many of the photos are fantastic in their own right, especially the more I looked at #1. The more I studied it, the more I found myself wanting to put it in the mix. Unfortunately, my bias for castles kicked in and I stuck with 3,4 and 12, but all the shots were phenomenal. Great work!

  37. CCKoepp says:

Wow … I felt like voting for nearly all of them! 😀
