Perhaps after last years narrow escape from the clutches of the Vampire, some might think me a bit simple. But yes I am returning to Dublin to experience what this years Bram Stoker Festival has to offer. The festival runs from Fri 24th – Mon 27th Oct, with a packed schedule of events to celebrate the life, work and legacy of Dublin writer Bram Stoker, creator of the infamous Dracula. Tomorrow I will be heading up to Dublin early to spend the day exploring the transformed Gothic streets of Dublin. Its gonna be a jam packed weekend full of Vampires and horror. If I make it out alive, I hope to share my encounter with you. If you are interested in coming along yourself, check out the official website.
And if you see me at work then stop by and say hello, ill be wearing this badge.
Don’t you need a rangefinder camera to shoot vampires? I don’t think a DSLR will work 🙂

When they are staked to the wall there is no need for a rangefinder lol 🙂

Have fun and don’t end up as prey! 😀
I’m already looking forward to the stories you will be able to tell us.
It’s a pity I couldn’t make it this year, but one day I might follow in your footsteps…

Are you all sorted for next week?

Some Vampires are associated with weather changes and therefore the abilities to control them, so I’m sure it will be on your side. 🙂
Nearly. Only waiting for the last replies on the car and we are all set with the stuff we had to plan ahead, everything else will be spontaneous.
Thanks again for all your help. 🙂

I think infraredrobert is right Ed.With a DSLR you won’t see the vampires in the mirror. You will have to point and shoot- have fun

Was a bit disappointing this year, not much happening on the streets. But I did attend a great lecture by John Hillen, his book Digging for Dracula is well worth a read. And I met a friend from the States, so it didn’t turn out too bad 🙂
