So right now im putting the finishing touches for my planned expedition around county Meath this weekend. I have got a list in excess of 60+ sites to explore and photograph. Its probably one of my biggest endevours to date and will cover sites from the Neolithic, right up to late medieval and beond. Im not sure if I will be able to visit them all in one day and the typical Irish weather will play a huge part in how sucessful my plans will be, so cross your fingers, say a prayer or wish me luck.
In the mean time here is a beach panoram I took on the recent family staycation down in Youghal. Taken just meters from our Hotel on Rebarn Beach. Its actually five images which I stiched togeter in Photoshop. Its not my usual subject mater and I normally shy away from these type of shots, but the color in the sky was truly amazing. As I was planning the shot I was imagining how and old castle would have looked in the foreground, with the gorgeous colours from the sunset shining down over its crumbling walls. Over in the right corner there is a small Island, with some type of Tower structure. Im not sure if it is a lighthouse or maybe one of those Martello watchtowers which date from the Napoleonic Wars. But hopefully the next time we visit I will be able to rent a boat and explore this island further.
For these and more of my images, why not visit my Website or join me on Facebook or Twitter.
Great photo! I should try stitching images together to get a better sunset/sunrise image. I get plenty of gorgeous sunsets and sunrises living on the beach but have yet to take a picture I thought truly captured it’s beauty. Perhaps I just need to capture more of it. Good luck on your adventure. 60+sites sounds crazy busy! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Pete, it can be tricky to get it right, especially hard with buildings. Landscapes let you get away with alot more 🙂

A beautiful sight when compared to our hot Arizona desert. With our high temperatures, this would be a joy to behold.
