Ballykelly Family Fun Day

So it was an early start on Sunday morning, I had recently got Ryan back training up at Ballykelly GFC. Sunday was the annual Family Fun Day, which started of with a10k  fun run, followed by a three match blitz for the under 8 team against Rathangan GFC, Kildangan GFC and finally Ellistown GFC. Seriously three matches in a row, I would have been carted of to hospital if I tried that now,  but the kids had a blast and played some great Gaelic football. There was also some other matches for the older groups going on at the same time, after which the festivities kicked off.

There was about six different types of bouncey Castles one of which I had a go on myself. (And no I wont be posting any pictures of a grown man climbing to the top of a 30ft bouncey castle to go down a slide.) With a BBQ, Ice-Cream Truck, Bake sale and various other games including a tug-of-war and penalty shoot-out, there was plenty to do for all ages. For once we had some good weather to go along with the day. The entire event was really well organised and was a credit to all those involved. Needless to say the kids were wrecked at the end of the day, but still did not want to go home.
