Communion Portrait….. Monochrome Madness Challenge.

DSC_5187

With my eldest son Ryan’s big day on Saturday I had little opportunity to go out shooting, so for this weeks MMC I picked a shot from the communion. It was a candid moment were I managed to capture Ryan un-posed and completely unaware of the camera. You can check out some other shots from the day on yesterdays post Ryan’s 1st Holy Communion. I liked the fact that it showed him participating in the celebration, completely unaware of what was going on around him.

The image was cropped to remove any distraction and focus the view on Ryan. Shot with my D40 in color and converted to mono in CS 5. I promise this will be the last Communion shot and portrait for a while. and I will get back on the ruin hunting trail this week, Irish weather permitting. So thats it for this week, but if like me you want to see more shots from the Monochrome Madness Challenge then head over to Leanne Cole’s Blog  later on today where you can check out the rest of the images sent in for this weeks Challenge.
