Saturday morning was an opportunity to bring two of my little clan down to the local library for the kids story time event. Special thanks to Rose the librarian for her help. With a good attendance the stories got underway. Unfortunately i got so engrossed in one of the stories I almost forgot why I was actually there, to capture images!
A fascinating twist on an old tale renamed, ‘The three little wolves and the Big Bad Pig’, was hilarious. I even had a thought of rewriting some old tales in this manner, but then again perhaps this has already been done? So with a couple of rounds of the classic ‘Henny Penny’,(We had both the Sad and the happy ending) which was re-enacted by all the kids with the help of some soft toys. Followed by a legendary performance of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star which surprisingly had alternative lyrics. What a great start to the second last day of the festival.
