Ryan’s 1st Holy Communion

Ryans Communion (1)

I’m a bit late today, and considering the hectic weekend we just had, I shall probably be playing catch-up all week. The cause of the mayhem was our eldest son Ryan whom made his communion on Saturday. My wife Hazel has been planning the event for weeks now and credit to her she put in a savage amount of work which all paid off in the end. Thankfully the weather could not have been better for his big day. The ceremony kick off with a stern warning from the parish priest about using camera’s during the ceremony. I guess I-phones don’t count as every second parent was snapping away. Once the service was finished I got to work trying to get all the pictures I wanted. Then it was back to the house were Hazel had laid out a feast for a King. I reckon we shall be living off the leftovers for at least another week. Sunday we spent visiting Ryan’s two Great Granmothers whom were unable to come out for the big day. So here is a sample of some shots that I took over the weekend, hope you like them. The rest will be up on my private facebook page later today.

Heart congratulations to Ryan, now a young man. I guess by comparison this is like a ‘sunnet’ for our lads (the ‘snip’) and marks their passing from childhood towards becoming a man (albeit usually aged around 9). Happy smiles and proud faces all round 🙂 Nice post sir

I love the looks on his face. I wouldn’t leave him alone in the sacristy with the communion wine. 😉
