Santa Claus is Coming to Town

Finally that’s the last of the christmas shopping done, I finish up work tomorrow and get to go home and spend time with the family for the rest of the year. Its been a long and difficult year so im looking forward to some serious down time. So I finally got a chance to go through some images from last week. The landscape outside the office was transformed into a Winter Wonderland just in time for the arrival of the big Mr. C. Yes Santa himself took time out from his busy schedule to pay a visit to the office where a bunch of lucky kids and there family’s got to enjoy a little festive cheer along with some well needed hot chocolate, some goodies and even snow. Well OK, maybe not real snow but the two snow machines brought in for the event went down a treat with everyone. Except me, as I had to stay back late to oversee everything and make sure Santa arrived and departed safely.

So in between all the chaos I did manage to capture a few snaps with the trusty old Camera Phone. Now as most know, shooting lights in the dark can be a tricky affair at the best of times and with the phone camera, great and all as it is, you just dont get the same level of control as you would with a DSLR. But I gave it a bash and was quite suprised at how they turned out. Granted they aint no works of art and wont end up being used for anything else. But I was happy with the end result. A little memento of when Santa came to visit 🙂
